School Shootings, Mass Murder, Workplace Violence and Guns
I went to school at a different time, the late 1950s and 1960s. It was a rural area, and most people in the area had guns.
The LAST THING I, or any of my classmates would have dreamed of, however, would have been to shoot or seriously injure someone.
Like everyone else I watched Elmer Fudd point a shotgun at Buggs Bunny’s face and pull the trigger. All that happened to Buggs was a soot-covered face. We knew, however, that you don’t point a real shotgun at a person.
What’s Changed?

A De-evolution of Leadership
We are searched when we travel, they read our e-mails, tap our phones, confiscate our nail clippers invade our private lives from the bedroom to nursery, and generally treat us like the criminals they swore to protect us from.
Once, great masters of our own domain, we have become mere pawns on someone else’s political chessboard. And they are doing it all ‘for our own good.’

As a prerequisite to some forthcoming opinion pieces, I offer an occasional bit of relevant historical information. There won’t be much, only enough to provide some background for the topic at hand, and no more. I’ll try to keep it so simple that even liberals and recent public school indoctrinates can grasp it.

While the idea may seem repugnant to some and just crazy paranoid to others, there are a lot of tech-crazy trail-blazers who think that an ear-bud is too cumbersome, or that if it says ‘Apple’ on it, they have to have it. . These people will be enough to push-start the market to its eventual conclusion.
These devices won’t come from the NSA or any other three-letter-agency, but from companies like Verizon, Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Amazon.
Pharmacy employees at Best-Buy and Wal-Mart will be trained to perform the (by then) simple procedure.
The “bleeding edge” people will “pre-order” their implants and then stand in line overnight, in the rain to be the first to get them.

You Don’t Know Me — And I Have a Gun.
You don’t know me, or maybe you do, and just don’t know it.
I am your neighbor, doctor, clergyman, nurse or just another nameless, faceless stranger in the crowd. I have a state authorized, court issued permit to carry a concealed handgun.
PS: Please be advised that the majority of legal gun owners also think the morons walking through department stores with carbines just to make a point are idiots too.
